Math Foundation is operated by a small team. We do not currently offer a 24/7 support line or a contracted response-time SLA; see what is not yet in place.
Product description
Math Foundation is education software for mathematics diagnosis and intervention, aimed at Years 4–9. It identifies the prerequisite skill behind a learner's mistake, teaches that missing skill, and requires the learner to demonstrate it independently before moving on.
For procurement classification it is best described as education software / formative assessment / mathematics intervention, delivered as a hosted web application. It is not a system of record for student enrolment, and it is not a replacement for a school's LMS or SIS.
Pricing and purchase routes
Published pricing covers family, classroom, grade-team, and school plans in AUD, USD, NZD and GBP. Two purchase routes are supported:
- Card / self-serve: Stripe Checkout. Card details are handled by Stripe and never collected by Math Foundation.
- Purchase order / invoice: school and district licences are arranged under a written agreement with an invoice schedule. Contact procurement@math.foundation to raise a PO; we will supply an invoice with ABN and remittance details.
Refund and cancellation terms are set out in the refunds and cancellations summary, and governed by the Terms.
Governance documents
Insurance position
Riverun Pty Ltd does not currently hold public liability, professional indemnity, or cyber insurance for Math Foundation.
We state this plainly rather than leave it unanswered, because many school and government procurement processes require evidence of cover and some will treat its absence as disqualifying. Buyers who require certificates of currency should treat this as an open item and raise it with us before proceeding. This section will be updated with insurer, policy number, cover limits, and expiry if and when cover is taken out.
Data processing summary
- Learner records for the application are stored in a managed PostgreSQL database (Neon) hosted in ap-southeast-2 (Sydney, Australia), used only by Math Foundation.
- Family, class, school and district tenant boundaries are enforced server-side.
- We collect birth year only, never a full date of birth, and only to determine which consent rules apply.
- Where a school provisions learners, the school is the consent authority and records an attestation; we do not ask schools for pupils' birth years.
- Marketing-site demo and lesson pages store progress in the local browser only.
- Third parties who process data on our behalf are listed in full on the subprocessor page.
Supplier registration status
Math Foundation does not currently hold an accepted supplier, panel, portal, or marketplace registration in any jurisdiction.
No application draft, submitted form, or acknowledgement is presented here as a registration. When a registration is accepted and usable by a buyer, its reference will be published in this section and reflected in our internal readiness gate. Until then, Math Foundation should be evaluated as a pilot supplier, not as a vendor of record for government procurement.
Implementation timeline
- Week 0: agreement and invoice or checkout; school administrator account created.
- Week 1: class or roster set up, consent attestation recorded, teacher accounts invited.
- Weeks 1–2: learners complete the placement diagnostic; gap report available to teachers.
- Weeks 2–8: intervention cycle with teacher dashboards and progress reporting.
- End of pilot: evidence report covering mastery movement and usage.
What is not yet in place
Buyers should weigh these openly. Math Foundation should not be represented as having any of the following until it does.

- No privacy impact assessment for the production data model.
- No completed external security assessment or penetration test.
- No contracted support SLA or 24/7 incident line.
- Pilot evidence to date is representative sample data, not a completed cohort study.
- Backup restore and incident-response procedures have not been exercised in a documented drill.
